Small snooker
Yorkshire Evening Post, Saturday 24 December 1927
“Small snooker” is an adaption of nine to make the varied charms of snooker possible to the many thousands of small table owners who never think of using their miniature tables for anything but billiards. It is very simple, and has the mere of making the purchase of a snooker set much cheaper. All you do is to use six red balls (which makes a triangle) instead of the usual fifteen. In this way the game is not only made possible on a small table, but it actually made brighter and better, for the fewer the reds the more likely the “snooker.” And, in conclusion, may I hope you will not be unduly “snookered” this Christmas, but have a jolly good game.
