THE PROPER NAME OF “SNOOKER”

In the course of a case at Bristol County Court, yesterday, reference was made to a meeting which occurred in a snooker club.
Judge Parsons: Apparently they played that rather depraved game of billiards quite wrongly called “snooker.”
“The correct name is snookers’s billiards with the apostrophe between the two s’s.”»
