The trout season closed on April 30, and although a fair number of fish were taken in the first two months of the season, since then, owing to the scarcity of water in the streams, sport was dull. Still, a few experts managed to get fair results throughout the season, which generally may be classed as the worst for very many years.

J. C. Deverman, T. Hall, M. Herbert, J. Andrews, H. Perry, J. Prior, Snooker, Gough and Les Andrews, of Orbost, have had some fair bream fishing at Marlo, during the past week. Some very fine perch have been taken by other anglers. The entrance to the Snowy river has been very bad during the past two months. The entrance is now fast improving and good sport is anticipated.
