ST. JAMES’ CHURCH.
The annual Easter Vestry was held on Monday last. The Vicar opened with prayer, and taking the chair, read his address on the work of the Church during the past year. “It is pleasant to record that the grade is still an upward one. There had been 65 celebrations of the Holy Communion, whilst the number of communicants on Easter Day—100—was a record.

Mr. George Wroe was re-elected vicar’s warden, and Mr. Reginald F. Rogerson, people’s, whilst the following were appointed sidesmen: —Messrs. Walter Sykes, Wm. Beevers, T. Percival, W. Wilson, T. Hampshire, A. Allan, T. Elliott, T. Bragger, A. Walker, F. Snooker, Smith Machell and E. Wilkinson. The meeting closed with the blessing.
