Captain Snooker of the Longreach
The Western Champion and General Advertiser for the Central-Western Districts, 17 October 1904
Bluebush Barrackings.
BY LOO NEE.
WHAT about that Thursday Island war scare? We got it had here. Bluebush is in such an unprotected position; we would be subjeck to an infilading fire from the north, and that’s where a regiment of Russians would come from. Forewarned is forearmed of course, so the Town Conncil immediately on receipt of the news took the matter seriously.
