Daily News (London), Saturday 27 September 1902
The Shah of Persia has ordered two billiard tables from Messrs. Cox and Yeman, of London. The tables were made of mahogany, handsomely carved, and fitted with low cushions. His Majesty also ordered all the fittings for the games of pool, pyramids, and snooker pool. One of the billiard tables is for the use of bis Majesty, and the other for Son Altesse l’Atabek-Azam, the Grand Vizier. The tables were packed in cases and forwarded to Paris, and then taken on from Paris with the Shah’s personal baggage overland to Persia.
