Private Snooker, who sang “The Death of Nelson”

Item number two was Private Snooker, who sang “The Death of Nelson.” Every­ one said it was good, that he had a lovely voice, and that he ought to be with Carl Rosa etc. The noise he made sounded to me like someone drawing a piece of rope under a door.
