Not infrequently, authors of snooker publications were unaware of the nuances of the game they were discussing. While the term “snooker,” or games with the word in their name, may appear to be a clear indication that a game is snooker or a variant thereof, this is not always the case. However, some well-known experts have produced articles in which they not only mention a variant of the game but also provide a comprehensive overview of the game’s rules. In the contemporary era, these games have been largely forgotten. However, one can still play a game according to its established rules and imagine oneself in the place of our ancestors during the period in which the modern form of the game was taking shape.
