In the context of modern snooker, despite the vast array of publications on the sport, a considerable proportion are not primarily concerned with the game itself, but rather with the spectacle that the players create on and off the green baize. However, there are also notable exceptions, including works of serious authors who are genuinely passionate about the beauty of the game and its rich historical legacy.
