Mr James Burke, who hides his billiards identity under the pseudonym of “Snooker”
Sporting Life, Saturday 13 July 1912
The file of the “Sydney Referee” included in the Australian mail this week-end contains a special column report of an interview with Fred Lindrum on his recent trip to England. It is entirely owing to the courtesy and kindness of Mr James Burke, who hides his billiards identity under the pseudonym of “Snooker” that I am able to anticipate the arrival of the mail by a few days and give “Sporting Life” reader a digest of the Australian champion’s impressions of things billiard in the Old Country.
