Description: Deeds and other documents mainly relating to Calne, Devizes, Malmesbury, Melksham, Salisbury, Swindon, Westbury, Wilcot etc.

These were collected by Wiltshire Archaeology and Natural History Society, before Wiltshire Record Office was established in 1947, from a range of sources, both individuals and the British Records Association.

The documents were arranged by place, and then put into chronological order, and catalogued. They were transferred to the Wiltshire Record Office in 1952.
