Shepparton Advertiser, 24 February, 1911
Some local cricketers, who are also tennis players, were having a match among themselves at the tennis court a few evenings ago, when “Young Banker,” who hopes to be manager some day, was explaining to his young lady the merits of those players when on the cricket field. “And I shouldn’t be surprised,” he remarked, “before the season ends that Snooker Smith—the chap you see there—will be our best man.”
