Snooker’s Band
Worthing Herald, Saturday 26 November 1927
Clever Pupils.
The greater part of the programme, however, was sustained by the pupils, who were of varied ages, and all were deservedly applauded for their clever performances. Lightness of touch and a proper regard for time values were the outstanding features of the playing generally. Those who took part were: Enid Baker, Eileen Baker, M. Clements, P. Scott, G. Gray, I. Ronson, P. Bennett, E. Ball, K. Bailey, P. Hawkes, K Piper, M. Thornton, I Richards, B. Hawkes, M. Diggle and M. Johnson.
In addition to the pianoforte items, there were two amusing concerted numbers, “Snooker’s Band” and “One Man Went to Mow,” while the Misses I. Ronson, P. Bennett and E Ball sang “Three Little Maids from School” from the Gilbert and Sullivan opera, “The Mikado.”
