Snooker Pool Handicap.
Eastbourne Gazette, Wednesday 15 March 1899
Billiards.—Mr. J. A. Smith, the manager of the Billiard Saloon at the Gildridge Hotel, has promoted and arranged a novel contest, in the shape of a snooker pool handicap. The number of players is limited to sixteen and prizes will be presented to the winner and the runner up. So far the handicap has been as successful as the recent tournament was, and the games are proving most interesting to the players and also to the numerous spectators.
