Snooker and Fluker
Barnet Press, Saturday 08 April 1899
Snooker: Do you really think that bicycle gives enough exercise?—Fluker (just learning): Enough? Why, man, it’s a gymnasium, toboggan slide, and tee-too-tum rolled into one.
Flo: Ordinarily you appear quite womanly, Edith; but sometimes rather masculine. How do you account for it?—Edith: I suppose it is hereditary. Half of my ancestors were males, and the other half, females.
Stern Father: I don’t believe that young fellow that is calling on Ethel has much business judgment—Fond Mother: Why, John, didn’t I hear this morning that no less than three judgments were taken out against him? He seems to have any amount of them.
