Sister beats Sister

Two sisters, Miss Sadie and Miss Irene Isaacs, who are in partnership in a Manchester wallpaper business, met to decide which will appear in the women’s amateur billiards championship proper, which starts at Burroughs Hall, on Monday.

Miss Sadie won by 200 to 101, and the winner, as Manchester representative, will meet one of the Bournemouth qualifiers in the first round of the championship on Wednesday.

Mrs. Ella Morrie, the Welsh women’s snooker championship holder, has, since her entry, moved from Cardiff to Flixton, Manchester, but, receiving a bye, she will play in the second round as a Welsh representative on Saturday next
