THE BILLIARDS REVIVAL
Shields Daily News, Saturday 22 January 1927
Another boom in billiards—and snooker’s pool—seems to have set in, largely due to the fact that composition balls, with which roost of the amateurs play, are now being used in the Amateur Championship.
Many new halls have been opened all over the country quite recently, and with few exceptions, are doing well.
