A correspondent writes: —Permit me to ask where the authorities draw the line at gaming on licensed premises? For my own part, I cannot see the distinction between playing dominoes or darts for a pint of beer, and the games that are allowed to be played in the billiard rooms on licensed premises, such as “shell out,” “snooker pool,” etc., when money is continually passing each time a ball is pocketed.
