BASE BALL CHAMPIONSHIP
N. W. P. Employees to Engage in a Bloody Combat for Baseball Supremacy at Eureka, July 5th
A base ball game that will be worth going miles to see will be played at Eureka on July 5, 1919, between the employees of the Northern Division and the Southern Division, for the championship of the Northwestern Pacific Railroad.
The Southern Division team is composed of several well known local players who have made a name in the semi-professional world.
Among the rooters making the trip to Eureka will be “Tanglefoot” O’Connell, “Sandy Nathaniel” McLean, “Allright Eddie” Paulson, and “Sister” Bent.
The following huskies will defend the colors of the Southern Division:
“Fairbanks” Wosser … pitcher
“Snooker” Wosser … catcher
“Mickey” O’Connell … 1st base
“Soldier” Johnson … 2d base
“Slivers” Monahan … short stop
“My Boy Johnny” Creighton … 3d base
