Bubbling over with joy, and singing in a high soprano voice, “I won a game of Snooker” (repeat). Grove Martin can well be forgiven his rather strange outburst. A feeling of exultation grips me whenever I Register my first win at any game, and Grove had just registered his first victory at snooker, after losing over forty consecutive games.
