Pigeon Shooting

As there remained ovor about 50 birds from last Wednesday’s pigeon match, a few sweepstakes were shot off on the following afternoon, some of the visiting shooters, who had remained in town, taking part. No. 1 sweep, at 5s, induced eight competitors, and after killing five birds each “Blue Metal” (25yds.) and Mr. T. H. Cameron (21yds.) divided. No. 2 and No. 3 sweeps were at 10s each, and each brought out, five shooters. No. 2 was divided by “Blue Metal” (25yds) and “Snooker” (22yds.), with four kills each, whilst Messrs. T. H. Cameron (21yds), W. H. Brown (21yds) and J. W. G. Taylor (27yds) divided No. 3 with three kills each.
