Cat. Snooker. Penistone, Stocksbridge and Hoyland Express, Saturday 12 December 1931
Barbara Hall Chapeltown.—I’m afraid Barbara, that your kittens are very shocking characters. Barbara says they are always fighting. Your letter, Barbara, put me in mind of that little poem that begins: “Two little kittens one stormy night, began to quarrel and then to fight; one had a mouse—the other had none, and that is the way the quarrel began.” Perhaps “Snooker” and “Tabby” (These are the names of Barbara’s kittens), will improve their manners as they get older. Yes, keep your old Corner number Barbara.
