“POLLY’S” PRANKS.
Dear Daddy,—I wish to become a member of your happy Circle. I have two pets, a little black kitten, called “Snooker,” and a green parrot from India, which is 27 years old. “Polly” is always in trouble; sometimes it gets out of its cage, and then it does a lot of damage. It chewed daddy’s best hat all to pieces, and bit all the window curtains. It is also very vain, and keeps saying “Pretty Polly!” “Pretty Polly!” My letter is getting rather long.—Hoping to see it in print, from your new member, Elsie Laverick. (Address wanted.)
