Dog. Snooker. Northern Weekly Gazette, Saturday 08 February 1930
“Snooker“
Dear Daddy,—It is quite a long time since I wrote to you, but I still enjoy reading the children’s page each week. My mother has taken the “Northern Weekly Gazette” for quite a long time now.
I have no pets of my own, but my sister has a dog named “Snooker.” He is always full of mischief, and one morning when my mother went into the yard he had dragged half a sack of potatoes up to the door. My mother at once took them from him, and as soon as she was out of sight he tipped all the potatoes out of the sack and took it into his kennel. Well, Daddy, I will close, wishing you and your Circle the best of luck. —Your loving member,
Rita Clarke, Middlesbrough.
