Woman’s Amateur Snooker Championship
Mrs. J. Morris (Cardiff), holder of the Welsh title, on Saturday won the Women’s Amateur Snooker Championship when at the Women’s Billiards Centre, London, she defeated Miss van Noorden (London) by four games to nil —61-24, 56-24, 60-20, 44-34—in the final.
In the semi-final round Miss van Noorden beat Mrs. Bennett by two games to nil—60-37, 57-22; and Mrs. Morris beat Mrs. Holman by two games to one—61-27, 43-50, 50-40.
Mrs. Morris played three matches on Saturday, her first victory being gained over Miss Gold by two games to nil— 80-22, 39-32. in the second round.
