It is quite possible that Snooker got the information from one of the parents
Mid-day Herald, 31 March 1896
The information received by Snooker and which gave in his Random Notes on Saturday, to the effect that some boys had been amusing themselves by throwing stones into the Methodist Girls’ School in Middle Road, is denied on enquiries made by Inspector Quin at the School. We are glad that the denial has come from the proper quarter, so that parents need not be under any apprehension as to the safety of their children. It is quite possible that Snooker got the information from one of the parents, who in turn might have heard it from the children.
