Combination of pyramids and pool, which is called “snooker,” or “snookers”

Some interest has been aroused by the introduction of American billiards into this country, but the opinion of experts seems to be that the game is rather too monotonous for us. A game which is becoming exceedingly popular is the combination of pyramids and pool, which is called “snooker,” or “snookers,” as it appears in the rules. These, singular to say, were drafted in India. Roberts suggests, in his “Billiard Review,” an interesting publication on billiard matters, that the rules might with advantage be taken in hand and revised. Points for which no provision is made are constantly being submitted to him for his opinion, he says.
