The attendance at Guindy yesterday morning was not so good as it might have been had the races been held in the afternoon. Sir Frederick Roberts and Mr. Grant Duff, junior, were present, and most of the sporting members of Madras society. The opening event was the

13-2 and under. Winners once to carry 7lbs. extra, oftener 10lbs extra, ½ mile.
