MIDLAND SNOOKER DRAW
Jimmy Whyte, of St Salvador’s, had a decisive win over Geo. England, Carnoustie Regal, in the first round of the Midlands and North of Scotland professional snooker championship at Clepington Road Billiard Rooms, Dundee, last night.
After losing three sets England won the fourth, but in the fifth he was beaten on the black, thus losing the match by four sets to one.
Whyte’s breaks included 25, 25, 22, 20, and 20. England had one break of 25. Details : —
