A crowd of racing men were playing at snooker pool. One of them who was always full of “good things” that usually failed to materialise turned to the marker testily as he was about to play a shot. “Here I say,” he growled, “the tip has come off my cue . . . as usual.” “Well, sir,” suggested the marker brightly, “you’d better give us one of your tips . . . They never come off.”
