Kiss Me Quick was an aged mare, by Lord Wilton from Kiss Me Quick, owned by Mr. D. O’Brien, of Warrnambool; Gerona was an aged mare, by Wellington from a mare by Snooker, Messrs. J. C. and E. Manifold being the owners; while Redlight was the property of Mr. J. Donovan, and was by Redlight from Blue Bell. Clipston, who has been an expensive horse to Mr. F. T. “Forrest,” was a strong favorite, while Korowai, the winner, was a rank outsider.
