Game of tennis and snookers
Civil & Military Gazette (Lahore), Friday 17 November 1899
Civilians, considering their easy circumstances, might do more for sport, and in particular for racing than they do. Many seem to think that they have discharged their duty their neighbours at large when they have done a long day’s work and played a game of tennis and snookers. But, allowing for their scantier leisure, they ought to take as large a share in sport and social duties as officers of the army.
