Eurea Coursing Club
A coursing match under the auspices of the above club was held in Haley’s paddocks on Wednesday, when the weather was beautifully fine, and a large number of persons attended to witness the sport. Hares were numerous, and several magnificent courses were run. Mr Early’s Little Nell, a pretty little black slut, was the winner after a very close trial with the runner-up, Mr Connor’s Gladstone, a fine-looking tawn dog. Mr F. Garrett’s Red Iron was considered the favorite. Messrs D. and W. Johnson, in the respective positions of judge and slipper, gave every satisfaction. The trials were as follows:—
