End of Season Promise
Leeds Mercury, Saturday 2 December 1933
HORSES OF MR. J. B. JOEL’S TO NOTE.
Almost so long as we can remember we looked for the likely Lincolnshire candidate of the late Mr. Sol Joel, or of Mr. J. B. Joel, and the flourish of the latter owner’s Foxhill stable during the last few weeks of this season cast many minds to next March. Fortunately Alluvial, who, I fancy, would be a first pick, and the younger Snooker, who may or may not have been over-rated, are not in the sorting out to make room for Mr. Joel’s new yearlings; but The Tout and All-a’Fire are. A stable with Lincolnshire ideas may get hold of these. Another sale notable from Mr. J. B. Joel’s stable is Polar Bear, who has had an engaging career as a sprinter. Wyvern, Wraxhall and Damerham, are desirable horses for the early season. They also come up on Tuesday.
