Prisoner alleged that the prosecutrix’s daughter put her fingers to her nose.

Mr. Fordham (to the prosecutrix): Did your daughter ‘cock her snooker,’ as it is called? (Laughter.)

Prosecutrix: No.

Prisoner: I pushed her daughter because she went like this. (Prisoner here suited the action to the word.) She pushed me away and I pushed her, and she fell on to the steps and ‘got her eye.’ I did not do it.
