THANET SKETCHES BY OUR IRRESPONSIBLE CARTOONIST
(1)—Coke in Ramsgate is becoming more valuable than diamonds and an effort is being made to prevent it from leaving the town. Our Artist draws a sketch of the Villain of the Play escaping with a sackload. This scene may be reproduced at any Cinema without fee or reward. (2)—Referring to the effort to improve recruiting figures at Margate, someone has suggested a Snooker Battalion. (3)— Ramsgate Fishermen are having an exciting time in various ports of the world. In a letter we publish this week one Ramsgatonian refers to the blow whales and baby seals that waited on his vessel. (4)—”Digging in ground like concrete in a hot sun is not all peaches and cream,” says Major Dunstan referring to the efforts of Our Boys in the Buffs in India.
