The big boxing tournament at Crystal Palace, promoted with the hope of unearthing new fistic talent amongst heavy men, light-weights, and bantams, was continued last night, when a further stage of the eliminating rounds gave the following results: —
Light-Weights. Harry Barnstone (St George’s) beat Bob Miller (Liverpool) on points; Air Mechanic Finney beat Ted Bower (Plymouth) on points; Evan Williams (Tylorstown) beat Teddy Reed (Walworth) on points; Johnny Thomas (Clerkenwell) beat Billy Hobbs (Chepstow) on points; Mike Honeyman (Canning Town) beat Len Jay (St George’s) on points; Sam Stewart (Lewisham) beat Snooker Everett (Chatham) on points; Billy Edmunds (Blaenavon) beat Bob Jackson (Trowbridge) on points.
