DEATH OF MRS. J. G. LONG.
We regret to record the death of Mrs. J. G. Long, widow of the late Mr. J. Long, of Dover, which occurred at the Nursing Home, 7, Castle Avenue, on Friday last week. Mrs. Long, who was in her 88th year, was the mother of Mr. C. T. Long, the Borough Accountant; Mr. W. S. Long; Mr. S. Long, of Shepherds well; and Mr. F. J. Long, who it will be remembered was a chemist at New Bridge before going to Canada The funeral took place at St Mary’s Cemetery on Wednesday, the Rev. O. f. R. Strickland officiating. The mourners present were Mr. C. T. Long. Mr. W. S. Long and Mr. S. Long (sons), Mrs. A. T. Ayling (daughter), and Mr. George Grigg (brother-in-law). Floral tributes were sent from Mr. C. T. Everett; Mrs. H. H. Ford; Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Knott; Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Lewis; Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Nash; Mr. and Mrs. H. Pain; Mr. and Mrs. Snooker; the Misses Vantier; Mr. E. H. Comper; Mr. W. S. Heaton; Miss E. Minter; Mrs. Lawrence; and the Dover Entertainments Committee. Messrs Austin and Lewis, of Tower Hamlets, carried out the funeral arrangements.
