Cat. Snooker. Daily News (London), Thursday 17 June 1926
The other morning mother heard an awful noise and went to see what it was. On the lawn was a blackbird with his wings out and his head poked forward, chasing Snooker, our cat, and making an awful noise. Snooker was running away as fast as he could, looking very fed up. We laughed at him and called him a cowardly custard. The blackbird still chases Snooker now and then and won’t let him get near his nest. — (Prize 2s. 6d.)
