Snooker jumper
Daily Citizen (Manchester), Friday 02 May 1913
The use of Mr. Vale’s cleverly devised billiard cue, or “snooker jumper,” which assists a player who is “snookered,” will undoubtedly find favour with billiard players. The question of its use in professional matches is at present under consideration by the Billiard Control Committee; but it is likely to be popular among amateurs, for it helps one to play with more certainty, while the same amount of judgment is required as when the ordinary cue is used.
