Captain Chamberlain, though thoroughly outpaced by the redoutable Don Juan, showed himself a good whip behind Jolly Snooker, and Mr. Luke earned the everlasting gratitude of the fair inhabitants of Vepery, by steering a bullock of that ilk to the honours of third place.
