BRIGHTON DEEP SEA ANGLERS.

The Brighton Deep Sea Anglers brought off one of their periodical competitions on Wednesday off Roedean College. Fourteen members competed, and all complained that the fish were not biting particularly well. The catches consisted mostly of whiting, dabs and codling. Prizes were awarded as follows:—1st, Mr. Snooker Burton (whose catch scaled 11 lb. 10 oz.); 2nd, Mr. F. Tylor (11 lb. 3 oz.); 3rd, Mr. L. Smeed (10 lb. 4 oz.).
