The beginner or novice , will find it a valuable guide and assistant, which will properly direct his studies and materially enhance his progress. The general principles of billiards will be found to be clearly laid down, and the rules appertaining to the different varieties of the game, derived from the best authorities, are also inserted.
The illustrations of the French Game, will be found equally applicable to the American.
