System Play in Three-Cushion Billiards
With the cue ball at one corner of the table, if the opposite side rail is struck at a point on a line drawn from the corner to the third diamond counting from the opposite end of the table, the ball will travel around the table and arrive in the comer on the opposite side of the table, as shown in figure I.
If the course of the ball is carefully watched, it will be noticed that it will leave the second side rail at a point even with the second diamond. Figure I is the, foundation diagram of the so-called “Diamond System.”
