English billiards made easy

Of all the books which have been printed, dealing with the “Gentleman’s game,” we do not know of one that presents the principles of billiards so clearly and succinctly as “Billiards Made Easy,” to which work these lines are intended as a humble introduction.
The author, Mr. James H. Ogden is a cultured and painstaking gentleman, and is, himself, no mean performer with the cue, and his treatise upon the game will, we are sure, be of infinite value to all who desire to improve their play, coming as it does from the pen of an authority.
