Billiards simplified
Billiards, at the time of which I am speaking, held quite a different position from that which it holds to-day. It had not then been reduced to the fine art which it may now be justly considered. In the days of my novitiate the implements of the game were not nearly so perfect as they are at the present date, the manufacture of tables specially having advanced a very long stride since then.
