Billiards for all Time

The title of this book BILLIARDS FOR ALL TIME was suggested to me by my friend Mr. Harry Myers who is to-day one of Lancashire’s best billiards and snooker players, and an amateur in the best sense of the word.
At first, the proposed title seemed rather presumptuous, but on further consideration I decided to use it because although rules may be altered from time to time in the next hundred years it is safe to say that the fundamental principles of break-building, at any rate as regards the all-round game, will never undergo any change so long as English billiards is played on our present type of table with the billiards and pyramids spots and the baulk line situated as they are to-day, and with the D semi-circle of its present size.
The book is part of the personal collection of Peter Ainsworth. The public section of the collection can be accessed via the following link: https://www.flipsnack.com/hylandbilliards/. We publish books and magazines in PDF format on our website with the owner’s permission.
