SOLICITOR AND “SNOOKER.”
When Frank Herbert Ireland, a solicitor, aged forty-one, appeared at Marlborough-Street Police-court, London, on Saturday, charged with stealing two £5 notes belonging to his wife, the latter declined to prosecute. According to Detective-sergeant Prothero Ireland said he took the money to pay his losses at “snooker.” A remand was ordered.
