Actress as Snooker Player
Leicester Chronicle, Saturday 16 September 1922
Not many women have played snooker with Tom Reece. A few weeks ago, Miss Hilda Glynn (the Baroness de Villiers in “The Lilac Domino” at the Opera House), met Reece at Burroughs Hall up in Town, and the famous cueist was agreeably surprised at her skill on the table. Like many successful actresses, Miss Glynn, who hails from Bedford, caused some fluttering of the parental heartstrings by running away from home to try her luck behind the footlights. Not long ago she playing with Marie Lohr. She always longed to do the part she is now in, and was not satisfied until she had been engaged as the stately Baroness.
